Church Builder is intended to run on any PC with any Microsoft Windows operating system up to Windows XP. We haven't tried it out yet on Vista.
The only requirement is that the Color quality must be set to 32-bit. This is needed by the mechanism used by Church Builder to pick components in the 3D view.
Do this by:
It is possible to use Church Builder with screen resolution as low as 800x600 but you will find that particular operations such as viewing and creating tours require you to select the Full screen tab to enable the button labels to appear properly.
Church Builder enables you to create rapidly 3D models of churches. The models can be viewed within the Church Builder tool or else exported as VRML files that can be viewed on web pages through a suitable plug-in browser such as Cortona.
We are able to model a large number of church features and intend to extend this range in future versions of Church Builder..
How do I make a length greater than the slider allows?
For left offsets and insertions of towers, type your desired value into the corresponding edit box and press the Enter key. Otherwise, the slider limits are set either according to the geometry (e.g. to prevent moving an arch outside its owning wall) or our guess at what seems to be an appropriate minimum or maximum value.
When I click on something in the 3D edit view, it does not get selected or something different gets selected. What's going on?
When you click on something in the 3D view, the mouse must be stationary - otherwise it is seen by Church Builder as a mouse drag which zooms or rotates the model.
If you are sure that you are stationary when clicking and there are still problems then check on your monitor's color quality. It must be 32-bit. If not then change it to 32-bit by following these instructions.
